CAD import
CAD formats such as IGES, JT Open and STEP, as well as native formats such as CATIA, NX, Solidworks and Pro/E, can be imported into GOM Inspect Professional at no additional cost. To import the data format, simply drag and drop it into the software, which will then automatically recognize and determine its specific format.
Nominal data/actual data comparison
The calculated polygonal mesh is used to describe free-form surfaces and primitives. To verify this, the profile can be compared with the technical drawing or directly with the CAD data set. The software allows both 3D analysis of profiles and 2D analysis of sections or points. Primitives such as lines, surfaces, circles or cylinders can also be generated from the CAD data.
GD&T analysis
